Ashtavinayak terracotta

Ashtavinayak refers to the eight self-originated (swayambhu) temples of Ganesha located around Pune, Maharashtra, each housing a distinct idol and legend. The Ashtavinayak pilgrimage is a circuit through these eight temples, often starting and ending at the Mayureshwar Temple in Morgaon, where devotees believe their wishes are fulfilled. Each temple represents a different aspect of Lord Ganesha, and the idols differ in their posture, with unique features like the direction of the trunk or the presence of specific jewels
